A monthly apartment is a short-term rental condominium with a “month” contract. General rental condominiums have an annual contract, and a security deposit, key money, and brokerage fee are required at the beginning, but monthly apartments of flat agencies do not require it.

After the 14th day counted from the contract start date, a cancellation fee of 20,000 yen is required.

It is not necessary to renew (extend) the contract period, but to sign a contract (re-contract) from the day after the contract end date. However, if another application has been received before receiving the request, the contract cannot be renewed.

In addition, there is no cleaning or replenishment of consumables when renewing the contract. In the case of a re-contract, the unit price of the rent will be according to the re-contract period, and it will not be the unit price for the total period from the initial contract.

(If you use it for the same period, the total fee for the re-contract may be higher than the lump-sum contract for the first period.)
